Ferg,
        I have the aluminum tube to replace the rubber angle tube on the
fuel filler.  I used the PVC tubing to attach each end of the alum.tube. 
I've had it in operation for 6 months now with no indication of a
problem.  Even if I have to replace it once a year, its worth it to not
have fuel smells in the cockpit.
