Hi Guys,
Thanks for responding!!!
I admit I did not consider using Series 1 from AMP since they are
thermoplastic
and while great else where in the airframe (and I am using two of them),
they are
not designed for high temp operations
Firewall connections are steel shell (not aluminum) with protected, hi temp
inserts.
they are generally clones of a WWII design from Pyle-National.
Check out this catalog from Amphenol MIL-C-26500 CONNECTORS :
http://www.amphenol-aerospace.com/index.asp?page=dispcatalog.asp?catalog=MS-101
The firewall connectors are Class K in the middle of the catalog
