Ferg,
Of course I have a Mono-wheel. Is there any other kind????
Send the parts, give me the address and I'll send a check. If you have
any drawings and directions, please include in the pile of stuff.
I finally got out yesterday and got an hour in. The wx had been
ucky here in mid Florida. For the last month, its been rain and
thunderstorms all around the area. The problem with the Europa is it
goes so far so fast. Need a big area to just putt around. Yesterday, I
throttled back to try to keep it around 110 Knots. only needed about
4700 rpm. No sweat getting 120K to 125K (around 5300 rpm) I see 130K
and up when I use around 5400 - 5500 rpm. (all below 3000') So I guess
its a fine cross country bird! Are you getting close? Don't rush but
its time to get it done. My last 6 - 8 months, I spent more time getting
the bumps out and ready to paint and then paint. Then its refit and get
the blessings of the gov. to go fly. It is all worth it. It is a fun
airplane to fly. I'm still doodling with the trim on my starboard wing.
I have had to add a trim tab in addition to my electric tab. Make sure
you have a large enough tab if you are putting in an electric operated
tab. I now recommend at least 8" wide or more. (maybe 10") This will
allow for trimming with out having to extend the tab so far it looks --
like, well you know--.
