I'd wager that the EEA (or any one with Acrobat 6 Pro) could reidnex
their PDFs with
no trouble at all and go a step further by sticking the whole thing on 2
or 3 DVDs.
Anyone wanting to test this wager and holding a copy of the CDs can drop
me a line

Ira - I'm in the queue for that X-Plane model of the Europa if you
can give me a clue where to get it! (Who's Wayne???) I'm happy to be
a beta-tester if that's what it takes. I agree that the method of
modelling in MS FS is a bit flakey and that X-Plane takes the proper
route. This was all expounded in the EAA magazine earlier this year -
I was surprised they were so honest as they (like many others)
usually seem to be in Microsoft's pocket. I cancelled my EAA renewal
this year because they wouldn't do back numbers on CD for Mac after
initially promising that version would be available. A great pity as
the basic technology is cross-platform (browser + PDFs) - they just
had embedded a windows-only search engine too deeply in the design.

regards

Rowland
