I am installing the same EIS. Grand Rapids recommended using another fuel
flow sensor on the return line and the EIS figures the difference.
I was talking with Erich Trombley at the Reno Air Races and he described his
setup using just one flow sensor. The return line T's back in upstream of
the sensor, I believe. You should ask him, he says his setup is working well
with very good accuracy.

Subject: Europa-List: Fuel flow measurement for 914
<paul.mcallister@qia.net>
Hi all,
I have a Grand Rapids EIS with the fuel flow option and I doubt if it will
work in its current configuration. The 914 has an integrated manifold for
fuel in and fuel return. I can see no way of measuring flow without having
to compensate to the return flow. Has anyone had any experience using the
EIS system and there fuel flow sensor on a 914 installation ?
Thanks & regards,
Paul
