Ron,

The 914 TCU has a scrambled data output which talks to the Rotax monitoring 
application.
It provides quite a bit of information about the status of the engine...much
of which would be useful in flight.

As yet I have not been able to decrypt the stream for airborne use... but it 
doesn't
mean that I'm not trying.
