A philosophical question if I may. A little while ago I read about the necessity of adjusting an AoA indication for the extension of flaps. I don't think that is correct. Extension of flaps decreases the AoA of the remaining fixed wing area because the flaps take over a large portion of the heavy lifting. Why compensate the indication for this real and desired result? Am I missing something? Jan de Jong 461 |
