Fred F wrote "Statistically, they're about as useful as a piece of lead" Fred, ---From what I have heard, this is true of permanently installed ELTs. It would seem however, that a portable ELT on your person is a much better deal. Eg, if one survives an accident, what good is an ELT in a burning or sinking aircraft ?? I will be purchasing a portable unit when/if the time ever arrives. Regards Kingsley Hurst Mono Classic 281 in Oz |
