I am sure that in the interests of safety, fueling should always be above
the
saddle. If you take off with fuel in the main side below the saddle, and
believe the
reserve to be full, well how do you know after your last flight that the
turbulence,
landing etc didn't put a significant amount of the reserve into the main, by
splashing over the saddle. If you always fly with a minimum of fuel that
ensures
the saddle is always covered, well your fuel state pre departure is always
known.
