Now that you know the answer to your question there is one important fact to
remember. If you run a fuel return line (the one that contains the orifice)
into the reserve side, then you will be continually refilling that side even
once the fuel level drops below the saddle. This insures you have a full reserve
in spite of turns, rough landings, and turbulence.
