I mistakenly used DOT 5.1 in my standard toe brakes and returned after a
few weeks away to find my brakes locked solid. I had to crack the bleed
screw to release them so I guess one or the other of the seals in the
system had swelled. Now replaced with finger brakes + DOT 5 silicone.

As I understand it only DOT 5.0 may be used with the Mod 65 finger brake
system. Fully synthetic it does not rot paint OR affect the seals.
DOT 5 can be used with any of the braking systems offered by Europa.
DOT 3, 4 or 5.1 should be used with the monowheel.
"Aviation hydraulic fluid" should be used with the tri-gear with
standard master cylinders - after changing the seals in the master
cylinders.
There is a possibility that 5.1 works with the tri-gear set-up but Andy
didn't know its specification.
And I have re-read this and the DOT numbers are correct !
