Europa-List: flap operating rod clearance

Anyone had problems fitting the flap operating rod? Mine is binding on the 
tunnel
wall by the small bulkhead and is very close to the main pitch tube at times.
I think all would be ok if I bent the rod so to be a little closer to the centre
line abeam the brake cylinder.
