Look at Rotax Operators Manual page 10.1
There it says max CHT is 300F, max oil temp is 285F
At Oshkosh, two actual Rotax experts say Do Not Exceed 240F
because to do so will over time remove the heat treatment of the
casting which may then warp, etc.
At some point in operation the oil temp should exceed 220F to boil off
any water condensate from the products of combustion or elsewhere.
Interesting factoid <<do not attempt this at home>> Rotax 9 series will
run without coolant or oil for
perhaps 30 min to get you home, at which point you can thank it for giving
its life to save yours!
As for Carbs, Phil did mention some parts requiring examination but not
necessarily replacement, same for the gearbox
