We talked to the LP Aerospace guys at OSH and looked at the plex samples
they had there.  They suggested a very light gray tint which is what we
got.  It looks fine in the driveway even at night ( not yet flying!). 
---From flying sailplanes, I think you need a little tint if you fly in day
VFR conditions!
