I have a Grand Rapids EIS 2000 for RPM, MP, and all Temps..
It has worked great.. now the question is.. is it reading it correctly?
I need to get the TCU software working so that I can compare readings.

Hi,

I don't know anything about 914s but I do know that the standard Rotax
analog tachos are notoriously inaccurate. They often misread by more
than 400 RPM.
A person I know (who shall remain nameless) who has a 912S discovered
that their Rotax tacho was under-reading by 600RPM! Says something
about the durability of Rotax engines!!!
Blatant plug: If you buy a Smart Avionics constant speed controller
(www.smartavionics.com), you get an accurate digital tacho with
percentage power display that will work just dandy with a 914. It
takes the same amount of panel space as the Rotax bogo-tachometer.

Mark
