Got that thank you Graham.
Are you also able to explain why the outer nut should be held while the
inner is backed off to effect the lock rather than the other way around ?
I've now got a theory but I wouldn't bet on it.
While I'm at it Graham, are two swages on a cable thimble any stronger than
one ? Tests I have seen carried out have broken the cable rather than
pulling through the swage so I can't help but wonder about the point of
having two.
