Hi Jim,
As I recall, the stall strips cannot be installed/fitted until the plane
has first been flown anyway. We were not willing to give up several
knots of stall speed, and have chosen not to install them ('our choice'
here in the US). On our monowheel XS with 912S, we find ourselves close
to stall speed at higher density altitude take-offs, and would feel
uncomfortable with the stall speed any higher than it currently is.
You should first test your plane, and then decide for yourself whether
the stall characteristics are acceptable as is.
Just my opinion,
Regards,

Subject: Europa-List: Lubrication & Stall Strips
Getting ready for first flight I find references in the Owners Manual to
lubrication, particularly the tailplane torque tubes and drive pins and
the door latches. What lubricants have others used on these items?
Also the Owners Manual states that stall strips are mandatory. Is this
an old reference to the Classic and not required on the XS?
Thanks
