Paul,
Nigel Charles wrote a very good article on just this subject March 2004
in the Europa Flyer. I will email a copy to you, just in case you
haven't got access to this edition.
I have based my travelling kit on his recommendations and it includes:-
a screwdriver with various straight, cross head and allen key type bits
which fit inside the handle, Leatherman type tool with knife, pliers,
wire cutters etc, a small but good quality adjustable spanner, plug
spanner, tyre pressure gauge, mini multimeter, locking wire, loctite,
cable ties, small selection of nuts, bolts washers etc. All the above
go in a small tool roll. I also take a spare innertube, length of fuel
hose, oil and some electric cable on longer trips.

Hi
I am making up a small toolkit to go in my machine. So far it includes a
set of spanners for AN hardware, battery terminals and spark plugs, a
couple of screwdrivers, a crowbar and a 10lb hammer.
I may have second thoughts about the last two items.
I would welcome any other suggestions for useful items, particularly the
ones you wished you had had when everthing has turned to worms, it is
getting dark and everyone has gone home.
Thanks in advance
Paul
