Trying to buy anything from Halfords can be a task, they only employ  Muppets 
!
To get a number plate made now, anywhere, needs the Log Book for the car,  
and some form  of I.D. for the person collecting them.Supposed to stop  crooks,

but they will have their own kit to make plates anyway !
Most Motor Factors will do them, either square or rectangular.
