It doesn't! The sensor weighs the pressure head of fluid compared to
ambient pressure and then does a lookup in a self calibrated lookup
table to determine how much fuel you have in the tank. I've sold around
30 chip sets so far and they are being used to measure fluid levels in
aircraft, hovercraft, water tanks and rivers. Oh, and my cat's water
container where the early prototype can be found.
