An awful long time ago, cars had a foot switch for the starter.  Wild
suggestion or not, how you jury-rigged this wouldn't matter, as it would
be out of sight.  Making your plane virtually theft-proof.
For 100% theft-proofing, use a reed switch.  Then install one of them
little, super-powerful neodymium magnets in your shoe.  Perhaps then an
insurance discount, like with cars today?
