Gilles, I would like to make another admission - improved version: In interpreting pressure-flow-restriction graphs and estimating pressure drops it is useful to know that flow through a restriction is proportional to the square root of the pressure drop across it. I earlier assumed erroneously that Ohm's law applies with pressure / flow equivalent to voltage / current. Square root of pressure / flow comes closer to being equivalent to voltage / current.
