Just a note to let you know that I've completed my ground run ups ( tri
gear with Jabiru 3300). I had to change the airmaster prop to a Jabiru prop
to get sufficent cooling
on the ground until after brake in. CHTs and EGTs are all in line. The
Jabiru prop (60X46) is cooling very nicely on the ground. The airmaster just
didn't push enough air
on the ground to cool. Brake in on a Jabiru is about 10-15 hrs and should be
ok with the Airmaster after that. But with all things will have to see what
happens when
I get there. I was able to burn in the brakes this weekend. After burn in
the parking brakes hold for full power run up. I'm not overly satisfied with
the quality of the finger
brakes but it seems to do the job if you pay a lot of attention to the
little things. Had to completely rebuild to get to work right. Next up is to
finish out the small stuff and call for
final inspection.........and then up, up and away!
