Nigel is correct about changing the rubber flanges. Just a point on that
subject, the new ones don=92t come with the metal insert as it is not
required
on the new type flange, so don=92t transfer it over to the flange when
fitting.

Subject: Europa-List: Rotax rubber carb flanges
Anyone with a Rotax engine over 5 years old should be considering
changing
the rubber carb flanges as they have been known to split with age. The
cost
of these from Rotax is rather excessive at over =A350 each. Aerosport UK
sell
the Mikuni version (which are effectively identical) for under =A324.
They
also come with the spacer tube preventing overtightening.
