Pete Clarke, I believe, did Vne + 20kt with no issues. Vne tests - your guess is as good as ours - part of the CAA flight test regime, and some blankly refuse. Miles I have a question though .. VNE is a design speed (presumably calculated) - with some margin maybe? I was intrigued by the UK requirement to dive to VNE as part of the annual check. What exactly are you trying to prove by performing this test annually? How many of your wear parachutes when performing this test? Regards, Martin Tuck |
