Hi Herve,
Similar situation we had last year on the German amateur builder meeting in
Oerlinghausen with the G-GBXS (Andy Draper). When he gave full power for
take-off, suddenly the engine reduced rev. The reason was pitting material
(aluminium) inside of the carburettor housing. I'm not quite sure where this
was coming from: Mogas or Avgas. I guess Avgas. One of this stuff is
corroding the alu-housing of the carburettor. When Andy was giving full
throttle there was an increase of petrol flow and this was lifting up a
small piece of corroded aluminium, which closed the orifice. It was taking
some hours to solve this problem.
