Fred,
The cable in the tubing, even partly, will not be visible for inspection.
When using teflon tubing for lubrication without oil or grease, you cannot
avoid dust and sand entering the tubes and cause more wear inside.
If you land often in mud or when ploughing your private strip, wash it
regularily and inspect condition. A mud cap can be of interest over the
wheel.
