I'm planning to accompany Tim Houlihan in his G-BZTH on the trip to
Eire at the end of May. On previous one-day jollies with various
people, and in flying-club aircraft, I have not bothered with travel
insurance, but it seems a good idea for a longer trip (loud noises of
agreement from Wilma off-stage).
Does anyone in the UK have any recommendations for this sort of
one-off insurance? I think the plain vanilla flavour of travel
insurance is unlikely to cover non-scheduled flights, and so I
imagine it's a pretty small and specialised market. I have found one
firm that looks promising and asked them for a quote, but would be
pleased to hear of any others that folk here have had good
experiences with.
regards
Rowland
