Hi! All who may be interested in vintage aircraft.
This last weekend I was introduced to one of London's best kept secrets
which is never so obviously deserving of some support and perhaps
lottery
funding too.
The de Havilland Aircraft Salisbury Hall London Colney
Hertfordshire.........http://www.dehavillandmuseum.co.uk ... where for a
measly =A35 (=A33 for Seniors) you get to take a trip back in time over
the
history of one of the very first aircraft manufacturing companies and
see
the DH98 Mosquito Prototype, "Vampire", "Sea Vixen", Horsa Glider,
Chipmunk,
Heron, Dove, Comet Simulator, Trident Two Flight Deck and many more
unique
examples and trade "household" names of aircraft.
It is truly a large part of aircraft heritage and I'm sure you will
savor
time you will spend there.
My Head Master the late Robert Capper was a Squadron Leader Navigator of
Mosquito's in the "Pathfinders".
