John,
There is no way you can register a foreign homebuilt in France .
The solution is to stay with the british registration.
Many french registered homebuilts are based in UK, Germany, Switzerland
etc.... This seems to work as long as the aircraft is maintained
according to the french rules.
So my advice is to take your aircraft to France, and continue to comply
with the LAA permit to fly requirements. Check that the LAA does not
have any objection.
Sure you will enjoy flying in our country.

<<<<<I will be permanently moving to France ( Villeneuve sur Lot ) in
November and as
I seem to be unable to sell my Classic tri-gear I will have to take it
with
me !
Could anyone please tell me what I have to do to import the aircraft to
France,
and what other steps are necessary to remain legal ?
The aircraft has a UK Permit until June 2010.
Many thanks
John Richardson>>>>>>>>
