Hi Franz, Yes, I know the hinges are weak from the personal experience of having my open port door blow off the aircraft in a gust of wind over 40 kts while on the ground, refueling at Norfolk (after business hours of course) returning home from Sun n Fun 2006. That is weakness in the open/close axis of the hinge, the structure relies on the fore/aft axis to add parallel stiffening and tension path to the roof.
