Europa-List: Is cabin heat required in UK? is so how to do it

I am surprised there is no cabin heat in the build, don't folk find it necessary
in the UK winter? I tend to fly all year. Is there a standard way of 
implementing
it? My C42 passes air through a valve from outside through an enclosure
around the exhaust. I saw somewhere talk of collecting air from behind the water
radiator but it not being effective. Also someone had had some cable activated
shutters made.
