For what it's worth I garbage picked a few thousand foot roll 18' wide of white
brazier material (could be negligee material) in the late 1970s. It was laying
on the flood when there was a mini flood and the very edge got a bit of brown
on it, so it became mine after it was deemed of no use to neighbor that was
a female apparel mfg. I have used it extensive for many things including
internal
structures for hot air balloons, covers, drop cloths and many weird projects.
One day I decided to use it as peel ply (when I ran out) on the Europa project
and it seemed to work great. I laid up several subsequent layers on the cockpit
to fuse.
OH NO! Subsequent layers did not stick very well?
I am not sure exactly why, but obvious there was some sort of coating that came
off that prevented subsequent bonding.
Anyway user beware of using other than peel ply meant for composite layup.
