Jim,
Go with a DAR! There are FAA guys who are great but it's pretty slim odds
you'll
get one. The rest are worthless bureaucrats and oxygen thieves.
I should have gone back to my DAR to get my replacment paperwork. He'd only
charge
$100 to do replacement paperwork. His charge for the inspection was $450
and worth it. The FAA is free but who knows when you'll have the inspection
and paperwork.
Good luck with your cooling issues. It takes work but can eventually be
resolved.
I recently read an article on line about what it took to get cooling working
for a Jab. They made up a fiberglass shroud. I found it, not on line, in
the August Kitplanes, "Down to Earth" column by Amy Laboda: "The plenum:
anything
but one size fits all." Cooling a Kit Fox IV with a Jab and an RV-10. Check
it out.

to the DAR yet. My plane is done but I am still dealing with cooling issues
(Jabiru) and don't need to have him in until I get it all fixed. I
significantly
increased my output air volume last week but will now need to see how the
oil temps go.
