Europa-List: Mylar Gap Seal

Has any one tried using Mylar gap seal on the wing gaps i.e. Flaps, aileron, 
elevator
and perhaps rudder (Z seal on one side in this area)
If you have, did you get any improvement in speed as a result?
The glider chaps have been using this stuff for years so there could be some 
advantage
in fitting it to a Europa.
