Thanks Jim;
I received the Airworthiness Certificate on Friday and have a couple of thing to
fix and needed parts. Being Friday and the holiday yesterday I should have
the parts today. Hopefully, I'll have them installed tomorrow and fly on
Thursday.
You are right about the Jabiru heating. On the ground the temps get to 302
pretty
fast. I have the Whirlwind ground adjustable prop installed. Four inch circles
for intakes and a lip on the lower cowling like John Lawton's plane. I
didn't use the Rotex designed stainless Steel firewall. Mine is fully open so
I'll hopeful of not having to many problems with heat once airborne. I'll cross
my fingers on that one. I have been told that the temps will go down after
15 hours.
If I can't fly on Thursday I'll have to wait until I return from Tejas over the
weekend.
