I just got home on Monday after a visit with my company commander from Germany
(early 1970's) in Louisville and an old buddy from the same period in Ohio.
Plane
flew great - got to do some IFR - as I was not going to scud run in the
mountains
- Europa is really a nice IFR platform - especially with the two axis
autopilot - so got in 14 hours flying from Tampa to Lancaster, via Rough River
- what a great plane! At every airport people asked questions - including the
tower people - we do have a reputation! (Or at least a neat airplane).

Really sorry to hear about your prostate problem. I went through the same
diagnosis some years ago and opted to have it removed. Best decision ever
made since I'm still around to talk about sex (but can't do anything about
it!)

Hi Jeremy
I took this photo today after an interesting CO-flight. Shit happens
regularly.
My Laminova locates very low behind the engine middle between the pedals on
the firewall "shelf" under the airbox and it is very difficult to see w/o
taking at least an airbox off (I didn=B4t). Over it you can see an electric
(mains 230VAC) water heater for winter operations. Very near - a bit upp
and port side - there is also a water thermostat.

Hi All
Doing lots of circuits in G-WUFF. Field very wet and muddy. Suddenly I
realise that the instruments and windshield are becoming obscured by
emulsified sheep poo blasting up through the gear lever slot.....Does not
look good with the light blue trim. Has anyone fitted mud guards to the mono
version?

We're STILL here. Weather at home is keeping us on the ground until Monday and
all our friends have departed. I hope you all made it home safe. It was great
to see you all and wish more of you could have made it. It is so very beautiful
and cool here this time of year. I'll post some pix when I get home. Bob, I
would like to see those you took as well if its not big of a hassle.
Donna said I was elected to do a article for the Europa flyer. I don't know

I was when that happened. If any of you would like to contribute something,
comments, or pictures send it to me at wingnut54 at charter dot net. We had
three Europas and one Cessna fly in. Gary and Susan Leinberger flew in with
their
brand new beautiful hi-top trigear. They came all the way from Plant City,
FL with several stops planned on their way home to PA. Jim and Heather Butcher
as well as myself and Donna had the 2 Monowheels. Builder, Michael Grass came
in his Cessna. Builder, Dave Conrad drove in from Ohio, and last but not least,
Bob Borger drove from way down in Texas with gas cans and adult beverages.
Thanks so much Bob for helping us fuel up. There were 9 of us here and we really
enjoyed our time together. I'm looking forward to next year.
