Because there is a short time before my inspector comes to do my weight and
balance
check on Tues 26th March, I'm repeating here the last request I made under
a different heading:
"More help please anyone. Today I did a provisional measurement of the wheels
aft
of datum and tomorrow I'm going to do it again with even greater accuracy,
hoping that my first effort wasn't too wildly wrong.
Please look at the measurement for your trigear aircraft and give me your
figures.
My nose wheel is 14.6" AOD (371mm) and the mains are 69.75" AOD (1772mm).
With any luck, your data will be close to mine. Interestingly though is that
when
my left door sill was level, the joggle where engine lower cowl meets fuselage
isn't perfectly vertical. It's tilted a degree or two "nose down" on both
sides."
The weather in Scotland is very cold and snowy for March and I'm trying to save
my inspector from suffering too long in a freezing hangar. Ideally I'd like to
have all the spadework done so that he only needs to read the weights on his
three scales, then go to the clubhouse for coffee while completing the
paperwork.
He isn't so young any more and shouldn't be asked to endure the cold any
longer than really necessary.
