I thought I would carpet and cover at leisure when I had done all the testing
and
could inspect for damage and see what else I wanted to fit so I painted with
grey international yacht deck paint. I wanted an military utilitarian durable,
patchable finish. A couple of years on and its done ok. Not easy to stick labels
on though. It adhered ok and has some form of sand or something in and its
fairly heavy in the tin but you only use a small amount.
