Graeme,
There is a very light carpet, meant for auto interiors, that is sold in
small rolls at places like Auto Zone and other automotive suppliers. It
is pliable enough to be stretched around the contours of the center
tunnel. A little heat from a heat gun and it forms perfectly. Any good
spray adhesive will hold it in place. I would estimate all the carpet in
Baby Blue weighs less than half a kilo.

carpet from? I have made up some paper formers. I could even consider
some upholstery if I knew what to use and where to get it.
