So I have a theory as to the cause and its linked to the weeping I used to get
on shut down (from new) and the split pipe I had over the radiator junction. The
radiator wasn't leaking in flight, it started when I shut down. When the water
pump stops working and the engine is hot, from landing with the prop on fine
and highish revs, the pressure builds up at this end of the radiator. Now I
have clamped it all up and stopped any leaks its found a weak spot in a rad weld
and made a small puncture.
I wonder if the cap needs to be a lower pressure one so it vents properly
instead
of knackering the rad?
