Here is a picture my system:
- a reed relay in the gray heat shrink
- a magnet that only activates the reed relay when the gear lock is down
The reed relay is connected to a small box with an arduino that reads out the
serial
stream of a Dynon D10A (for speed and climb information) and lights up a
dual color led on my panel according to the following scheme:
