I installed a billet pump on my 914 six years ago. I didn=99t
like having an electrically dependent engine. Worked for several months
with the folks supplying the pump getting the fittings correct as well
as some drive changes. They also made some changes to the pressure
regulator system. The pump has been working great for almost 100 hours
now. Last year it developed a leak in the regulator. I was able to
find off-the-shelf racing regulator parts to fix it. I really like it.
I had other folks who wanted to use that pump but I was unable to get
pump systems for them because the guys who sold me the pump have stopped
communicating with me.
If they will communicate with you and sell you a pump, that=99s
great. It should work just fine. But they seen quite difficult to work
with once the sale has been made.
