It can pull up to 10 Amps, but it is fitted with a thermostat so it only pulls
that in the most demanding conditions. However, my current battery appears to
be on its death bed (over six years old) so it's not up to the job at the 
moment.
I've just ordered a replacement, so we'll see how it copes when I get it fitted.
I'll report back.
