Ivor,
I am sure you are right. What is the Matco part number and how difficult is
it to fit them ?
I see apicture in the A.S. catalogue, but I don't see the attachment points
.
I used the Jamar for many years with moderate success, difficult to bleed a
nd a slow leak from one of the grub screws.
I am pushed for time and would like to have one more go.Do you remember the
supplier of the Prts ?
Thank you,
Karl

Subject: Europa-List: Re: Jamar Brake Cylinder
Too be totally honest the Jamar cylinder isn=99t fit for purpose!!
Crap is a stronger word i would normally use but i don=99t want to up
set
the gentile folk on this forum,
I have had three on my aircraft, the first one would lose a circuit when it
wanted and had me of the runway twice, the second one wasn=99t much
better
always loosing pressure but with no leaks, You could pump it up to get a ha
rd
handle before landing,
the third one i completely strip, changed all the seals, honed the bores cl
eansed it to a inch of its life, bleed it for an hour using every means at
my
disposal, ( considerably after 55 years in the motor trade) and i still was
n=99t happy with the pressure i was getting,
so bit the bullet and brought two matco cylinders and replaced the awful
Jamar,
the Matco cylinders have been working fine now for Six years, I personally
wouldn=99t take the chance with a Jamar, going off the runway can be
decremental to your health
