What I think when doing maintenance is: If the spring came loose at the t
ailpost, find out why. Otherwise it is just a patch. Which may be OK...
For a while.
The book tailpost pyramid is subject to flex in ground loops.
I build mine from wall to wall. Never had a spring mount failure but after
a spring came loose, inspection revealed a wonky hole.
