Thorsten Schilling organized last weekends successful Europa fly-in at
Columbia,
CA. Four aircraft came.
Here are his notes:
Dave Anderson mono motorglider, the mini U2 probably the most flown long wing
Europa
in North America
Sam Purpura tri-gear XS
Thorsten Schilling mono XS
Kim Prout, N111EU, mono classic, the first Europa to fly in the US and the
subject
of the well known CAF Report.
Derek Au came with a Grumman Tiger since his Europa is still in the builder
stage.
Steve Giordano, even though he sold his Europa again since he was too tall for
it, came by and wanted to meet the folks.
We almost forgot lunch on Saturday with all the great conversations we had.
We went to the old Western Downtown in Columbia and had supper at the St Charles
Saloon.
Kim hosted us at his house looking over the airport for Dinner with a great
Bavarian
Bratwurst and Potato Salad which helped us to continue our great hangar
talks.
