Hi Ron,
That’s a good point, the set-up dimensions for a new block are given in the
manual (from memory 79mm) but no wear limit. From the dimension you gave you
are a good way below that.
I have a 700-6-6 Air Trac tyre fitted and with a new block there is nearly 1”
between the top of the tyre and the fuselage. That reduces over time as the
block ages. The current block is now about 8 years old and there is still about
3/8” of daylight between tyre and fuselage.
If you want to get a better feel for the situation you could lift the tail to
put the aircraft in the flying attitude and then measure the ground clearance
between the propeller/ground.
