The manual says 5-7mm gap between the cockpit floor and the CS08 crank, but I can't see how a 5mm gap will allow for sufficient rotation of the crank without interfering with the cockpit floor. Also, the floor is not a perfectly flat surface. It is a curved surface, and it also contains a lot of epoxy ridges which when sanded before bonding will reduce the gap even further. I opted for 8.5mm.
