Thanks for taking your time to enlighten me!  It's hard for me to imagine
the worn-out aluminum hinges being an issue on my expected airplane but I
suppose anything is possible and I certainly respect the views of everyone
building and writing on this forum.

Man, you guys are sure prolific on email and I'll try to keep up.  Is there
any way to review the "archives" of what has already been posted or
discussed here?
